Ports of Call

Philadelphia (Days 1, 11)

From your dock, its just a short way to Philadelphias treasury of American history like the Liberty Bell and Constitution Hall, its all close at hand. Or perhaps youd prefer to travel through the scenic countryside to the prosperous farms of the Pennsylvania Dutch country.
Attractions & Activities
By far the most famous landmark in Philadelphia is the Liberty Bell. Housed in the Liberty Bell Pavilion, the cracked bell is a symbol of liberty across the nation and a favorite destination for tourists to this great city. It was formerly hung at the top of Independence Hall, where it rang for important occasions, including the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Tortola (Day 5)

Twenty-one-square-mile Tortola is the largest of the British Virgin Islands, an unspoiled archipelago that lies in the path of welcome trade winds. Try fishing, snorkeling and sailing excursions out of Road Towns serene harbor or horseback riding in the shadow of Mount Sage.
Attractions & Activities
Rent a private boat and forge your way out to Norman Isle, a former pirate den across Drake Channel from Tortola and real life deserted island today. Legend has it that Norman Isle served as Robert Louis Stevenson's inspiration for Treasure Island. You can venture into caves, some of which are excellent snorkeling spots. Or hike to Spy Glass Hill. This is a journey you'll never forget.

St. Thomas (Day 6)

There are bargains on just about everything in St. Thomas. In addition to excellent duty-free shopping, St. Thomas boasts some of the loveliest beaches in the Caribbean: Magens Bay, Sapphire Beach, and Coki Point.

Attractions & Activities

While the beaches and ocean are beautiful, there is one thing that really sets St. Thomas apart - shopping. Browse through the shop-lined streets of Charlotte Amalie and find out why St. Thomas is called the "duty-free shopping capital of the world." Shop for duty-free trinkets and bargains on everything from liquor to imported china and crystal. Visitors can bring home $1,200 in merchandise without paying duty - twice the limit of most of the Caribbean.

San Juan (Day 7)

One of the largest islands in the Eastern Caribbean, Puerto Rico's landscape encompasses mountains, underground caves, coral reefs, white-sand beaches and an incredibly massive rain forest that supplies fresh water to most of the island. At the same time San Juan, the capital of the commonwealth, is a big city with a bustling business district, glitzy resorts and casinos, as well as one of the most stunning examples of colonial life in the Western world.
Attractions & Activities
When you're in San Juan, don't miss the opportunity to witness the pinnacle of natural beauty by exploring Puerto Rico's El Yunque Rain Forest. It features more than 240 species of trees, hundreds of miniature orchids, and what was once believed to be the Fountain of Youth.

Puerto Plata (Day 8)

One of the most interesting cities in the Dominican Republic, located on the north coast. It's an area of high-priced, luxury resorts, and casinos and home to the Tourist Bazaar. Check out the unique amber jewelry. After shopping, go to the beach. There's over 70 beautiful miles to make into your personal sandbox.
